Policy 2.0 - Surgical Technology Application Review Process

Pre-Program Courses Complete:

Priority is given to students who have satisfactorily completed the following preprogram courses:

  • ALTH 1410
  • BIOL 1005
  • BIOL 1140

Pre-Program Courses In-Progress:

Students who are currently in progress with any required preprogram courses may apply to the program. Provisional acceptance may be given if space is available.

Provisional acceptance will be revoked if student does not successfully complete pre-program courses by the end of Spring Semester.

Prioritization

Acceptance is prioritized by:

  1. Date pre-program courses completed
  2. Date Surgical Technology declared/applied
  3. GPA (if tiebreaker needed)

Other Information

The program application window opens February 1st.

Applications are processed beginning March 1st, with accepted students being notified by email mid-March.

Once program capacity has been reached applicants will be placed on a wait list using the same acceptance criteria for prioritization.
