Trevor Wills has been named the associate dean of business and industry at 做厙輦⑹.

Trevor Wills has been named the associate dean of business and industry at 做厙輦⑹. In this role, Wills will primarily provide strategic direction and leadership for the professional pilot, aviation management and aviation maintenance technician programs based at LSCs Center for Advanced Aviation which serves as a regional leader in aviation training. He will begin his new position starting this Wednesday, May 13.

We are excited to welcome Trevor to 做厙輦⑹, said LSC Dean of Business and Industry Brad Vieths. He brings additional in-depth business, aviation, and leadership expertise to our campus. As an Air Force veteran, Trevors track record of service will support our growing and vital pilot and aviation mechanic training programs. Trevors community and business connections will further enhance our key aviation industry partnerships as well.

I look forward to further expanding the productive business relationships LSC has established with industry partners including AAR, Cirrus, Lake Superior Helicopter, Delta, the Duluth Airport Authority and more, said Wills. The need for well-trained aviation professionals in the regional aviation workforce is significant. I will also be working closely with LSCs aviation advisory board and Minnesota State University, Mankato, which allows LSC pilot students to easily transfer to earn a four-year professional pilot program degree.

Prior to LSC, Wills served as an executive officer of Northview Bank in Sandstone, MN and taught as an adjunct professor of undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, economics, and management at The College of St. Scholastica.

As an U.S. Air Force veteran, Wills brings a strong history of work in avionics and aviation. He served as an aviation maintenance technician in the Air Force and currently has a private pilot license. He is all but dissertation in a doctorate in educational leadership from Saint Marys University of Minnesota, holds a masters degree in business administration from Wayland Baptist University and a bachelors degree in professional aeronautics (aviation business administration and aviation safety) from Embry-RiddleAeronautical University.

Wills currently serves as the president of the Dollars for Scholars affiliate chapter in Barnum, MN. This organization awards and administers college and technical training scholarships for funding donated by the community for graduating seniors at Barnum High School.

LSCs Center for Advanced Aviation serves as a regional training hub for the professional pilot, aviation management and aviation maintenance technician programs, serving over 120 students.

做厙輦⑹s Aviation Maintenance Technologyprogram is a fully approved Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) program that prepares graduates to repair and maintain commercial and general technically advanced aircraft found in todays market. in 2018 as an approved partner college in training future aviation maintenance technicians.

做厙輦⑹s Professional Pilot program is designed to meet the needs of students who plan a career as a pilot in commercial aviation. The program leads to F.A.A. certification as a commercial pilot with an instrument rating. A recently signed articulation agreement with provides students who complete their associate of applied science (AAS) degree in the professional pilot program at LSC a seamless transfer option to continue on to earn a bachelor of science in aviation four-year degree.
