Duluth, Minn. (February 13, 2023) Students at 做厙輦⑹ will have a full day of extra-curricular learning on Tuesday, February 14 at the main campus. Regular classes give way to this conference-style day offering dozens of 50-minute academic and so-called soft skills sessions taught by Twin Ports experts in ten subject clusters.
Community partners from Essentia Health, St. Scholastica, MNsure, Mentor North, AmeriCorps, Affinity Plus, and others join forces with 做厙輦⑹ faculty and staff to present useful and enlightening topics geared to help students succeed in life.
This full day of learning is a practical and fun way 做厙輦⑹ promotes personal, career, financial, leadership and educational skill building, said, Dr. Patricia Rogers, president of 做厙輦⑹. The session topics are designed to help students succeed not just at college but in their personal and professional lives.
Students will enjoy food, a challenge-like game, a choir performance, exhibits, open labs, and networking during this 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. full-day break from regular classes. The keynote speaker will be Erica Gagnon of Essentia Health who will share how understanding the emotions of yourself and others can help promote success in and outside the college classroom, lab or workshop.
This college-wide event started in 2008 and is presented in the fall and spring semesters.
