
°µÍø½ûÇø (LSC) will host a resource fair for veterans and active military personnel on Wednesday, November 5 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the main concourse of its main campus.
The fair will feature LSC student resources including Financial Aid, Career Services, Health and Wellness, and more. The event will also include external organizations including the Twin Ports Veterans Affairs, St. Louis and Cook County Veterans Services, Veterans Resilience and more.
Students who identify as veterans, active military or national guard members make up roughly 5% of the °µÍø½ûÇø student population. The Veterans Resource Center at LSC assists eligible student veterans, active-duty personnel, dependents, reservists, and National Guard members with GI Bill benefits and questions regarding state and federal educational benefits programs. The center also assists with VA benefits, employment, family assistance and more.
Following the fair, a celebration of service will take place in the Student Life Kiosk from Noon-12:30 p.m. with comments from LSC President Dr. Linda Kingston and a performance by the °µÍø½ûÇø Concert Choir.
The fair is free and open to the public.
