做厙輦⑹ Again Offers Popular Free Summer Camps This June
Teens Can Start Summer Off With Hands-on Career Exploration Camps

Duluth, Minn. (March 9, 2023) 做厙輦⑹ opens its doors this June for five, week-long summer camps designed to introduce students ages 12-18 to potential careers. Students can choose from Robotics, Welding, Machine Tool, CAD/Solidworks and Revit programming, or Advanced GenCyber (cyber security).

A grant from the National Science Foundation in partnership with the National Security Agency was paired with private business and industry partner donations to sponsor these free camps. The goal is to give more young people a taste of these high demand STEM career fields. 做厙輦⑹ faculty will teach these camps at the main campus or the downtown Duluth satellite location.

These camps fill up fast each year because parents love the hands-on learning that their students are exposed to that may not be offered in middle or high school, said, Anup Parajuli, an instructor for the GenCyber Camp. Having a college instructor with industry experience showing students through fun, hands-on learning helps provide information about career choices their parents may know very little about. We often see camp participants later enrolling in these programs at 做厙輦⑹ after high school.

Students may have a take-home project, hear from guest speakers in the workshops or labs, or take an off-site tour. Camp descriptions and registration is online and has limited openings.
