Fall Scholarship Recipients Recognized with Breakfast Reception
°µÍø½ûÇø Foundation held a Breakfast Reception Thursday morning in Hawks Landing

The °µÍø½ûÇø Foundation (LSCF) held its Fall Scholarship Breakfast Reception Thursday morning in Hawks Landing to recognize LSC students who received a foundation scholarship this semester.

The foundation awards tens of thousands of dollars each semester to students. This primary function of the LSCF includes matching donors to scholarship options, investing endowed gifts prudently, and administering scholarship agreements so that qualified are awarded scholarships.

For the Fall Semester, 142 out of 189 students who applied, received scholarships totaling $198,640. Each of the Foundation’s 28 volunteers reviewed and scored online, a randomized batch of 28 student applications. Students, college leaders and foundation board members spoke at the reception on Thursday.

“Every scholarship we award represents a student whose dreams become more achievable," said David Kline, °µÍø½ûÇø's Vice President of Advancement and External Relations. "Our community and industry partners understand that removing financial barriers creates opportunities not just for individual students, but for our entire regional economy.â€

The mission of the °µÍø½ûÇø Foundation is to support °µÍø½ûÇø by cultivating community relationships and philanthropic support that will advance educational opportunities for students, staff, and community.
