Author Talk: Finding a Place on Water with Peter D. Nordgren
If you and your family moved to the shore of a small northern Wisconsin lake, what would you find there?
That鈥檚 the question answered in 鈥淎 Place on Water,鈥� a new book by writer Peter D. Nordgren. Readers will enjoy a close-up the fauna and flora of the small property on which the Nordgrens build their new home. Along the way, tales are shared of a lifetime spent in Wisconsin鈥檚 north country.
In fifty-two short essays, Nordgren takes readers around the lake, into the depths, along the shore, and up into the branches of the forest. What is found there brings the comfort of familiarity, the surprise of the unexpected, and the mystery of the unknown. Peter D. Nordgren is professor emeritus of library science at the . He grew up in northern Wisconsin and is a graduate of Winter Schools and UW-Superior, with graduate degrees from UW-Stout and the University of Minnesota. His writing is published periodically in Silent Sports magazine.
